Waste reduction is a strategy we must all learn to cultivate and apply in order to reduce  food wastage and also save our planet in the process.
Here are some tips we should cultivate.

Shopping with a plan. Making time to write down shopping list is a challenge considering our very busy schedule. So we end up purchasing what we don’t need and it ends up as waste.

Eat the left overs. It doesn’t sound appetizing to begin with right? Throwing away the left-over foods end up polluting the air and the environment.  Become creative by producing something else from the left overs.

Trimming the quantity of food.  Eat what you know you can finish and if you are cooking for your family determine to reduce wastage.

Poor storage systems. Strategic storing is a key to reducing waste. You should prioritizing what should be eaten first, the one that will be going into the refrigerator, the ones that need bagging and so on.

That war on elimination of food wastage has begun, we should strive to reduce food waste and save some money in return. Join me and other people as we spread the wasting not and wanting not campaign.
