African food



Africans are known for their strength and excessive energy. These characteristics are gotten from one common source, our food and these sources remains constant from one African country to another. Our foods are combined with tropical climate food and game and spices.

Here are the common food African eat
Starch
African food consist of 60% starch, a wide array of staple food are eaten in Africa these food includes; fufu, eba, pounded yam, tuwo, kenkey, banku, foutos among many. These food are eaten with soup such as stew, okro, egusi, maafe or groundnut soup. There is also jellof rice, boiled or fried yam, potatoes, cocoyam.

Vegetable
African generally eats vegetable also with their food. Vegetable are used in preparation of most of our meals. These vegetable includes water leaf, melon, spinach, etc

Meat
Africans love to eat meat be it fish or meat. These meats include goat, cow, chicken, and bush meat. Fish is usually mixed with meat; these fishes include dried and fresh fish.

Spice
African foods are favored with spices such as garlic, red pepper, nutmeg, curry powder.

Fruits
Orange and banana are mostly eaten fruits in African; others include watermelon, mango, sugar cane etc.
